Fellowship at Sciences Po
Our group administrates a year-long graduate fellowship at the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris, or Sciences Po, to conduct dissertation research with the assistance of a Sciences Po faculty member. The exchange is especially recommended for students in sociology, international relations, comparative politics (political science) and contemporary history. For more information, read the Sciences Po exchange call for applications.
The fellowship carries no course or teaching requirement. While in Paris, the student is supported financially by a Sciences Po allocation, the value of which is approximately equal to that of a nine-month Northwestern fellowship. WCAS has, in the past, supplemented that fellowship with cost of living support, as required by movement in the currency market.
Application deadline: March 1, 2017
Interested students apply through the Paris Program in Critical Theory, the selection committee for which also awards Sciences Po graduate exchange positions. Students must submit the following to Dominique Licops by March 1:
- Personal statement explaining the importance of the exchange program for his or her research
- Letter of support from their advisers
